  The morning bird stares at her reflection and fights her new rival. I become the beast scaring them both away  and then wink at the sun  who shines brightly for Lily and me.  Looking outside my window, I feel pity for the water lilies. The Golden Streets Of Mysore

The senile street poles that speak of silver light, sparkling on me, like the magical creatures that flash through my eyes greeting me in my dreams.. The shadows cast on the road, telling me I'm not the only one left behind.  The smiling constellation making me wish for a shooting star.  The old lonesome tree with its weeping leaves held together by its brave branches assuring me I'm not alone. The meandering tone of a familiar song causing quiver to my bones. The baby plant enclosing my heart in its bushiness.. The rustling sand struggling to breathe under the tyres of a ferocious modern bus, spilling out dust, sinking into a pool of glitter on a pavement, spelling love.  A young girl sitting beside a pale, glass window, staring into the night, her mind clicking pictures of little things, her brain making notes of each and every moment as it passes by, her pupils refusing to meet any other soul..  The wind splashing her hair through her face, begging her not to leav...

  I chase the drowning sun, screaming, Why do you run away from me? Have I not praised you enough?   Where do you set off to leaving me stranded  in this ineluctable pit of darkness that you call the night? Is it a daily reminder  of who I am?  Of what my interior looks like?  A broken heart and its shattered pieces.  Like the crescent moon and its adjacent stars. Perhaps it is you crying for help. Showing me your other side. Telling me  we are the same. What else could it be? The night is nothing more than  a shadow of your never-ending light. The moon can never be  as radiant as you. It needs you  to stay alive as much as I need you to feel alive. So stay. I need your light. I need you.  I'll sing songs for you. The night is a nightmare, far beyond repair.
